Which options do you offer for households that don’t have a phone line?
Alert1 offers the POM (Peace of Mind) wireless medical alert for people who don’t have a landline phone. The system uses cellphone towers to connect to the 24/7 Command Center when a member presses their button. The wireless adapter allows the user to place the POM unit anywhere in their home and only needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet. At Alert1 we believe in making things as easy for our members as possible, so we take care of the cellular data plan. The process from ordering to setting up the system is streamlined and easy. Which novelties will we be seeing from Alert1?
Actually, we are very excited to share with you that we just launched our Fall Detection Medical Alert and that we will be bringing out our GPS system shortly too! We didn’t carry them before because we hadn’t found any that were up to our standards. With our new GPS technology, Alert1 will be able to extend our protection beyond the home using a lightweight, two-way communication pendant. What is your Advantage Plan?
The Advantage Plan is Alert1’s featured program to create a higher level of protection for our members looking for an additional layer of protection. To reduce worry and maximize security, we keep our member’s trusted contacts in the loop with text message alerts if the member requires assistance. In the event of an emergency, such as a natural disaster, the member’s contacts will be sent text messages about the situation as it develops.
We also include the Vial of Life kit that provides emergency responders with a list of the member’s medications, conditions, and special needs. With this information, medical personnel will know how to proceed with their care.

Is your medical alert system also suitable for younger people with a medical condition?
Alert1 is a service for all ages. We currently protect members ranging from age 7 to 107! In fact, a perfect example just happened last week. A concerned mother contacted Alert1 to get a medical alert system for her five-year old daughter whom has severe allergies. With the Alert1 system, now her daughter can press her button and get help immediately if she is in trouble. Depending on the situation we could call her mother, neighbor or 911 immediately. Alert1 is designed for any individual that requires immediate help in the event of an emergency no matter how big or small and no matter their age.
Medical emergencies make up the large majority of our button presses, but our services go beyond just calling 911. Our medication reminder ensures that your loved one never misses taking their prescribed medication. The enclosed, tamper-proof medication dispenser stores the dose for each day securely. The dispenser distributes the medication based on the preset time and date, eliminating medication mix-ups and over doses. When it’s time to take your medication, the device reminds you to take your medication by beeping. Once the medication is taken, it stops. We also offer an option to have the dispenser monitored for missed doses. If a member doesn’t take their medication we will call to remind them and keep their caregivers notified. For additional safety and convenience, the dispenser has a 48-hour rechargeable battery fit for travel without the need to be continually plugged to an outlet.
